The Old Town Chapel was originally built as a Catholic Church. It was lovingly built by the Mexican families of Leander in the old world mission style. The exterior walls and interior walls are a mixture of stone and stucco.
The ceilings are vaulted dark pine wood highlighted by elegant chandeliers.

The property was owned and operated by the Catholic Church from the early 1940's thru February 2008.

In 2008, the property was purchased by Ray and Sharon Stegall with the desire to preserve the landmark property as much as possible during renovation. In January 2009 the church was opened as the "Old Town Chapel" for the primary use as a wedding and reception facility. From time to time the building still host Sunday morning and Wednesday evening church services.

Ray and Sharon were child hood sweethearts and have been married for 40 years. Their strong commitment to marriage inspired the desire to provide the highest level of service for the brides and grooms who choose to start their married life with a ceremony at the Old Town Chapel.

Every effort is made to treat you like family and make the day as stress free and special for you and your loved ones as possible. From a Sweetheart Wedding with only 2 in attendance, a ceremony only with up to 175 guest or a full ceremony and reception accommodating up to 100 guest, your desires and needs are the priority of the day.

Whether this is your first marriage, a vow renewal or marriage with the person you wish you had met first, a wedding at the Old Town Chapel is a
beautiful start to the rest of your life together.

Facility owner, Sharon Stegall is also the broker/owner of Leander Realty. If the bride or groom who books a wedding at the Chapel, has Sharon represent them as their Realtor anywhere in the Austin area. with the purchase and/or sale of a home, Old Town Chapel will refund $500 of the cost of their facility booking to help with the purchase or sale of a home.
